Second place in the East Division evened up as Wake Island defeated Christmas Island. Ukraine claimed North Division supremacy. Nagasaki asserted Southeast Conference dominance. San Juan pushed Ecuador to the brink of elimination. And Jamaica and Egypt pushed past floundering Switzerland and Bangkok, respectively. QB Drew Brees scored 24.2 points to lead Wake Island. Island Wars Episode II: Return of the Wookiees Wake Island Wookiees 140.45, Christmas Island Crabs 123.98 — Wake Island bested Christmas Island in the teams’ second battle of the season with the Wookiees evening the score and drawing into a tie in the East Division. Quarterback Drew Brees scored 24.2 points to lead Wake Island to victory. Wide receiver Randall Cobb tallied 21.5 points and running back Kenyan Drake finished with 17.2. For the Crabs, wide receiver Michael Thomas led the way with 25.4 points. Running back Austin Ekeler tallied 22.2 points and the Buffalo Bills defense notched 20.2. Next Week: Wake Island tries to maintain its positioning in the playoff race when they face Nagasaki. Christmas Island will rebound when they accept victory from Bangkok. RB Todd Gurley tallied 24.3 points to help Ukraine. Grainers beat Renegades, grab North Division crown Ukraine Grainers 143.68, Russia Renegades 116.17 — The Ukraine Grainers completed the sweep of the Russia Renegades and clinched the North Division championship. Running backs Christian McCaffrey (32.9) and Todd Gurley (24.3) propelled the Graines in the victory. The San Francisco 49ers racked up 27.15 points. Backup quarterback Sam Darnold tallied 25.62 points for the Renegades in the loss. Running backs Josh Jacobs (17) and Melvin Gordon (14.8) were instrumental as well. Running back Mark Ingram racked up 26.1 points, tight end Travis Kelce picked up 24.2, wide receiver Stefon Diggs notched 23.1 and running back Le’Veon Bell finished with 20.8. For the Jerky, wide receiver Calvin Ridley exploded for 28.3 points. Running back Carlos Hyde finished with 14.3 and quarterback Tom Brady added 13.8. Scorpions crawl circles around Ewoks San Juan Scorpions 186.23, Ecuador Ewoks 97.87 — The San Juan Scorpions completed the season sweep of the Ecuador Ewoks, clinching at least second place in the West Division as well as clinching a playoff berth. Quarterback Josh Allen blew up for 35.78 points to lead San Juan. Wide receiver John Brown had a huge game with 34.7 points. Running back Alvin Kamara pitched in with 24.8 points and tight end Zach Ertz finished with 20.4. Running back Ezekiel Elliott powered the Ewoks with 21.5 points. Tight end Mark Andrews finished with 18.5 points and quarterback Philip Rivers notched 14.77. Next Week: San Juan will try to stay alive in the West Division when they face Jamaica. Ecuador fights for its playoff lives against Russia. QB Jimmy Garoppolo led the way with 32.53 points for Jamaica. Jerks squash the Squirrels Jamaica Jerks 140.63, Switzerland Squirrels 111.78 — Jamaica blew past Switzerland to maintain pace with Ukraine for the No. 1 seed in the Northwest Conference playoffs and to take one step closer to winning the West Division. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo led the way with 32.53 points for the Jerks. Running backs Dalvin Cook (18.9) and Leonard Fournette (14.3) were key contributors as well. Wide receiver Keenan Allen finished with 21.1. Wide receiver D.J. Chark had a huge game with 30.4 points in the loss. Tight end Kyle Rudolph pitched in 19.2 points and quarterback Jameis Winston finished with 17.63. Next Week: Jamaica will try to win the West Division when they take on San Juan. Switzerland will have its hands full against division rival Ukraine. WR DeVante Parker scored 20.5 points for Egypt. Pharaohs successfully take advantage of ‘bye week’ Egypt Pharaohs 116.67, Bangkok Blitz 64.18 — After their one-week upset special, Bangkok resumed its stance lying down on the field as Egypt accepted the gift victory. Wide receiver Devante Parker scored 20.5 points and running back Joe Mixon tallied 20.3 to lead the Pharaohs. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes finished with 19.72 points. For the Blitz, quarterback Baker Mayfield scored 22.98 unwanted points in the loss. The Cleveland Browns defense tallied 22.7 undesirable points. Four other players were lauded for scoring single-digit points while four others were heralded for failing to break the score sheet. Next Week: Egypt will have a showdown with Turkey for the stranglehold on the South Division lead. Bangkok will lay down for Christmas Island.
