The Bangkok Blitz, in hot tank pursuit of the first overall pick in the 2020 draft, used their 1-game leeway to upset the Jamaica Jerks. In another upset, the Christmas Island Crabs stayed on a hot streak, finishing Top 4 in scoring for the fifth-straight week in a big victory over Ukraine. Meanwhile, Egypt scored a big victory over Ecuador while both teams remain on the outside of the playoff picture looking in. Turkey picked up a big win over the defending champs to stay in first place in the South Division. Nagasaki soared past the Renegades to tie Ukraine atop the league standings. And the Wookiees lumbered past the tanking Squirrels to maintain their grasp on the second wild card spot in the Southeast Conference. WR Christian Kirk racked up 37.8 points in Bangkok’s first victory of the season. Blitz(krieg) Bop the Jerks Bangkok Blitz 128.28, Jamaica Jerks 124.42 — With Switzerland owning the tiebreaker over Bangkok by virtue of their Week 1 win, the Blitz were afforded the opportunity to score one victory while maintaining their pursuit of the first overall pick in the 2020 MFFL Draft. And what a victory it was over Jamaica. Bangkok took advantage of some Jerks on bye and were led by 37.8 whopping points from receiver Christian Kirk. Quarterback Dak Prescott scored 28.23 points and receiver Michael Gallup finished with 17.6. For the Jerks, running back Dalvin Cook scored 36.5 points in the loss. Receiver Keenan Allen added 16.8 points and tight end Austin Hooper notched 12.7. Next Week: Bangkok will look to get back to recording tank wins when they face the Pharaohs of Egypt. Jamaica will snap a two-game losing streak when they’re gifted a win from the tanking Squirrels of Switzerland. WR Michael Thomas scored 28.2 points in leading the Crabs to a huge win. Crabs stay on fire, drain the Grain Christmas Island Crabs 156.58, Ukraine Grainers 147.3 — Christmas Island took advantage of a lineup quandary at quarterback that the Grainers were facing and squeaked out a 9-point victory. Michael Thomas led the way for the Crabs with 28.2 points. Quarterback Russell Wilson finished with 22.23 points and running back Damien Williams tallied 16.7. Without a quarterback, Ukraine relied even more heavily on the duo of Christian McCaffrey (30.1) and Tyreek Hill (33.2). The San Francisco 49ers defense also racked up 31.2 points. Ukraine will try to rebound when they take on Russia in a North Division matchup. QB Patrick Mahomes picked up 32.87 points in Egypt’s victory. Pharaohs topple Ewoks, remain in hot pursuit of second wild card Egypt Pharaohs 156.17, Ecuador Ewoks 132.9 — Quarterback Patrick Mahomes tallied 32.87 points, and the running back duo of Ronald Jones (23.8) and Joe Mixon (23.1) helped push the Pharaohs past the Ewoks in interconference play. The Los Angeles Rams defense also tallied 27.7 points in the victory. Ecuador received 25.8 points from tight end Mark Andrews in the loss. Receivers Jarvis Landry (24.7) and Golden Tate (22.5) were key contributors as well. Turkey takes down the champs Turkey Jerky 148.87, San Juan Scorpions 127.32 — Running back Derrick Henry scored 37.7 huge points and was aided by 31.7 points from Amari Cooper as the Jerky took down the defending champion Scorpions. The Baltimore Ravens defense added 28.85 points as well. Quarterback Josh Allen scored 30.37 points to lead the Scorpions in the loss. Running backs Nick Chubb (18.1) and Alvin Kamara (16.2) were strong contributors, as well as receiver Robert Woods (16.5). Kamikazes soar past Renegades, cruise to top of league Nagasaki Kamikazes 184.2, Russia Renegades 166.43 — Nagasaki scored a big interconference victory over Russia behind a strong effort from their backfield. Quarterback Kyler Murray scored 29.95 points to lead the Kamikazes. Running backs Aaron Jones (29.9) and Le’Veon Bell (20.4) scored big as well. Tight end Travis Kelce tacked on 22.5 points. Quarterback Lamar Jackson tallied 34.08 points for the Renegades in the loss. Running backs Melvin Gordon (24.7) and Josh Jacobs (22.3) were top scorers as well, with the Chiefs Kicker tallying 17.3 points. Quarterback Drew Brees finished with 17.57 points and tight end Eric Ebron added 12.1. For the Squirrels, with three players on bye, quarterback Jameis Winston picked up the slack with 24.03 points.
