Kamikazes strike late: Nagasaki slips past the Crabs in 4th Quarter

Nagasaki Kamikazes 153.63, Christmas Island Crabs 149.45 — Christmas Island could not hold off a fourth-quarter surge from Nagasaki as the Kamikazes fought back to win a key East Division matchup. Wide receiver Davante Adams led the way for the Kamikazes with 28 points. Running backs Chris Carson (22.9) and Aaron Jones (20.4) were also keys to the victory. Newly-signed running back Wayne Gallman tallied 30.4 points in the Crabs’ loss. Wide receiver Kenny Golladay added 23.7 and Michael Thomas finished with 18.5. Next Week: Nagasaki will island hop and take on fellow East Division rival Wake Island. Christmas Island will try to turn things around when they face Egypt.

Return of the Ewoks: Ecuador knocks off unbeaten Ukraine

Ecuador Ewoks 164.48, Ukraine Grainers 163.13 — The Ewoks scored 19 third-quarter points and then held Ukraine off the scoreboard the rest of the way to give the Grainers their first loss of the season. The 1.35 point differential was the smallest of the week. Wide receiver Jarvis Landry scored 24.7 points to help lead the Ewoks to victory. Quarterback Philip Rivers (22.53) and running backs David Johnson (24.1) and Ezekiel Elliott (19.1) were also instrumental in the victory. Wide receiver Chris Godwin exploded for 41.2 points to lead the Grainers. Running back Christian McCaffrey continued his tear with 39.3 points. Quarterback Deshaun Watson added 15.38 points.Next Week: Ecuador will try to keep the tank rolling when they face West Division rival San Juan. Ukraine will look to rebound when they face North Division foe Switzerland.

Wookiees feast on Jerky: Wake Island chomps on Turkey in close victory

Wake Island Wookiees 130.63, Turkey Jerky 127.45 — The Wookiees received a balanced effort from their team in their close victory over Turkey. The New England Patriots defense scored 31.35 points to lead the way for Wake Island. Quarterback Matt Ryan (21.18), running back Frank Gore (14.3) and wide receiver Brandin Cooks (13.1) were other key contributors. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp scored 27.1 points to lead the Jerky in defeat. Wide receiver Mike Evans tallied 18.9 points and running back Devonta Freeman finished with 20.4. Next Week: Wake Island will do battle in the East Division with Nagasaki. Turkey will attempt to turn things around when they face winless Bangkok in a South Division matchup.

Pharaohs finish off Blitz: Egypt wins pivotal South Division matchup

Egypt Pharaohs 133.15, Bangkok Blitz 121.15 — Egypt scored 90 first quarter points and never looked back en route to a South Division victory over Bangkok. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes (23.1), running back LeSean McCoy (19.1), wide receiver Sterling Shepard (17.1) and the Los Angeles Rams defense (20.05) were key contributors in the win. Running back Todd Gurley notched 27 points for Bangkok in the loss. Tight end Will Dissly finished with 20.2 points and quarterback Baker Mayfield added 19.1. Next Week: Egypt travels to Christmas Island to do battle with the Crabs. Bangkok will look to get their first victory when they take on Turkey.

Jerks keep pounding: Jamaica runs over defending champs

Jamaica Jerks 184.98, San Juan Scorpions 121.9 — The Jerks continue to be a runaway freight train, beating division rival and defending Super Bowl champion San Juan by the widest margin of the week. It was a battle of the running backs in this one with four backs in this game finishing above 20 points. Austin Ekeler (32.8) and Leonard Fournette (32.3) led the way for the Jerks. Dalvin Cook (21.8) and tight end Austin Hooper (24.5) were big contributors as well. QB Jared Goff finished with 25.48. For the Scorpions, running back Nick Chubb led the way with 43.3 points. Only three other players finished in double figures for San Juan: tight end Zach Ertz (16), running back Alvin Kamara (15.3), and wide receiver John Brown (11.9). Next Week: Jamaica will do battle against the unbeaten Renegades. San Juan will face another tough West Division opponent in Ecuador.

Rushin’ past the Squirrels: Renegades take sole possession of North Division lead

Russia Renegades 150.98, Switzerland Squirrels 99.08 — Paired with a Ukraine loss, Russia defeated North Division foe Switzerland to take sole possession of the division and remain the last unbeaten team. Quarterback Lamar Jackson scored 28.63 points to lead the Renegades. Running backs Kerryon Johnson (19.9), Derrick Henry (17.2) and Josh Jacobs (16.2) were all instrumental in the win. The Squirrels unfortunately left a lot of points on the bench as Jameis Winston, Jaylen Samuels and Jimmy Graham combined for 77.11 unfulfilled points. The starters who took their place — Case Keenum, Kalen Ballage, and Kyle Rudolph — combined for just 5.03 points, which ultimately proved to be the difference in the game. The Squirrels did receive great play from wide receiver Robert Woods (29.4) and running back James Conner (28.5). Next Week: Russia has a tough matchup against the red-hot Jerks. Switzerland will try to rebound when they face Ukraine in a North Division matchup.
