Russia Renegades 137.95, Turkey Jerky 135.55 — Turkey made a furious comeback, right up until the final minute of the ball game, but ultimately fell just two points short of knocking off the Renegades. QB Lamar Jackson continued his tear this season by leading Russia with 26.6 points. TE Evan Engram tallied 25.3 points, while running backs Kerryon Johnson (15.3) and Derrick Henry (15) pitched in as well. WR Amari Cooper led the way for the Jerky with 26.8 points. QB Tom Brady added 23.5 points, RB Chris Thompson tallied 16.2 points and RB Devonta Freeman notched 15.7. Next Week: Russia will take on Switzerland in a North Division battle. Turkey heads to Wake Island to do battle with the Wookiees.

Kamikazes fight off furious fourth-quarter flurry from furry fluff balls

Nagasaki Kamikazes 152.92, Ecuador Ewoks 142.75 — Ecuador scored 55 fourth-quarter points but ultimately fell 10 points shy in a loss to Nagasaki. QB Kyler Murray led the way for the Kamikazes with 24.77 points. Running backs Joe Mixon (20.5), Aaron Jones (17.3) and Le’Veon Bell (13.9) all contributed to the victory. WR JuJu Smith-Schuster finished with 17.1. QB Mitch Trubisky helped engineer the comeback attempt for the Ewoks with 22.35 points. The Chicago Bears defense tallied 27.4 points. Running backs David Johnson (20.7) and Ezekiel Elliott (19.7) were key players in the loss. Next Week: Nagasaki heads to Christmas Island for an East Division matchup. Ecuador tries to make right when they square off with Ukraine.

San Juan Scorpions 175.8, Christmas Island Crabs 163.23 — San Juan scored 22 third-quarter points and then held on for the victory behind their defense in defeating Christmas Island. RB Alvin Kamara paved the way with 40.3 points. QB Josh Allen (24.25), RB Nick Chubb (21.7) and WR T.Y. Hilton (20.5) were pivotal in the victory. QB Russell Wilson exploded for the Crabs with 46.03 points. WR Tyler Lockett piled on 32.4 points. WR Michael Thomas contributed 16.4 points in the loss. Next Week: San Juan will face Jamaica in a battle between two of the MFFL’s highest-scoring teams. Christmas Island faces Nagasaki in a tough divisional matchup.

We be jammin’: Jamaica knocks down the Wookiees

Jamaica Jerks 191.72, Wake Island Wookiees 166.68 — The Jerks continue to pile on the scoring, tallying 191 points while one of their players sat out while attending the birth of a child. WR Keenan Allen blew up for 43.8 points in the Jerks’ victory over Wake Island. RB Dalvin Cook continued his tear with 27.5 points. TE Austin Hooper tallied 26.6 points. Five other players scored double digits for the Jerks. For Wookiees, TE Greg Olsen (28.5), WR Julio Jones (26.8), QB Matt Ryan (26.08) and WR Brandin Cooks (20.2) were the key players in Wake Island’s defeat. Next Week: Jamaica will test its prowess against San Juan in a West Division battle. Wake Island will try to right the ship against Turkey.

Roadkill: Egypt squashes the Squirrels by twice the points

Egypt Pharaohs 209.22, Switzerland Squirrels 104.02 — A week after scoring the fewest points in the MFFL, the Pharaohs exploded for more than 200 points and the top spot among all scorers in Week 3. Two players scored more than 30 points (RBs Mark Ingram [38.7] and Phillip Lindsay [33.2]) while three others scored more than 24 (QB Patrick Mahomes [29.92], RB LeSean McCoy [24.6] and WR Sterling Shepard [27.5]). For the Squirrels, QB Jameis Winston led the way with 27.52 points. WR Adam Thielen tallied 20.8 points. WR Sammy Watkins finished with 11.4 points. Six of the ten Squirrels starters finished in single digits. Next Week: Egypt will try to build a win streak when they face the winless Blitz. Switzerland will try to get off the schneid when they face Russia in a North Division battle.

Ukraine Grainers 177.25, Bangkok Blitz 101.4 — Ukraine advanced to a perfect 3-0 with a resounding victory over Bangkok. WR Mike Evans had a “boom” week with 45 points. RB Christian McCaffrey continued tearing it up, recording 32.6 points. QB Deshaun Watson finished with 27.15 points. For the Blitz, TE Delanie Walker (14.9), WR Demarcus Robinson (13.3) and QB Baker Mayfield (13.1) were among the top scorers in the loss. Unfortunately for Bangkok, their big-money players (DeAndre Hopkins, Todd Gurley, and Stefan Diggs) combined for just 24.3 points. Next Week: Ukraine will try to stay perfect when they host Ecuador. Bangkok will look for its first victory against Egypt.
