Russia, Ecuador complete six-player swap

The Russia Renegades and Ecuador Ewoks completed a six-player swap on the eve of the regular season.

Russia sent tight end Mark Andrews, running back Ito Smith, wide receiver Cole Beasley and the Atlanta Falcons defense to the Ewoks for wide receiver Corey Davis and the Cleveland Browns defense.

Ecuador waived running back Mike Weber and tight end Ian Thomas to make room on the roster.

Russia activated quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Josh Jacobs from the Rookie Corral to fill out their 20-player active roster.

With the trade, Davis’ salary was reunified on Russia’s books. The Renegades previously acquired $2 million of Davis’ contract as dead money in a three-way trade with Ecuador and Christmas Island.
