Running back Jordan Howard scored 25.8 points in Russia’s victory. I want a refund — can I get my quarterback? Russia Renegades 132.28, Ecuador Ewoks 91.8 — Both the Ewoks and Renegades lost their starting quarterbacks very early in Week 6’s matchup and had trouble finding the scoreboard. Ecuador’s Aaron Rodgers (1.1 points) and Russia’s Jameis Winston (3.28) hardly broke a sweat before heading for the locker room. Running backs Jordan Howard (25.8) and Kareem Hunt (17.8) led the way for the Renegades. Wide receiver Demaryius Thomas added 20.3 and tight end Evan Engram notched 19.2. Tight end Rob Gronkowski (26.3) and the Pittsburgh Steelers defense (26.4) had big games for Ecuador. Wide receiver Jermaine Kearse finished with 11.9. Russia takes on Egypt in Week 7 action while the Ewoks face Vietnam. Quarterback Cam Newton scored 27.27 points in Ukraine’s victory. Ukraine Graining Gound — er, Gaining Ground Ukraine Grainers 158.27, San Juan Scorpions 125.45 — After enduring season-ending injuries from wide receiver Odell Beckham and running back Dalvin Cook, the Grainers churned out a huge victory over the Scorpions in Week 6. The Los Angeles Rams defense exploded for 35.6 points to lead the way to victory. Quarterback Cam Newton scored 27.27 points, running backs Jerick McKinnon (27.1) and Christian McCaffrey (23.3) followed suit, and wide receiver Mike Evans tallied 18.6. For the Scorpions, quarterback Kirk Cousins had 31.75 points, followed by tight end Zach Ertz with 15.8 and running back Alvin Kamara with 14.7. The Grainers will try to make it two in a row next week when they face the Blitz. The Scorpions will try to rebound against the Kamikazes. Running back Le’Veon Bell notched 34.5 points to lead the way for Nagasaki. Kamikazes strike again, take down Bangkok Nagasaki Kamikazes 153.45, Bangkok Blitz 141.05 — Since shaking up their roster after a slow start, the Kamikazes have now won their third straight game and are the MFFL’s hottest team. Running back Le’Veon Bell scored 34.5 points to lead Nagasaki to victory over the Blitz. Wide receiver Antonio Brown (29.5) and running back Carlos Hyde (27.1) turned in big performances as well. For the Blitz, wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald scored 26.8 points to lead the way. Backup quarterback Josh McCown notched 25.25, running back Todd Gurley added 17.6 and wide receivers Julio Jones (13.2) and Jordy Nelson (12.1) pitched in as well. The Kamikazes will try to extend their win streak to four games when they face the Scorpions in Week 7. Bangkok will face a surging Grainers team. Leonard Fournette scored 26 points for the Monsters. Greenland ‘sters up trouble for Jamaica Greenland Monsters 119.12, Jamaica Jerks 112.25 — The Greenland Monsters narrowly defeated the defending champion Jerks behind a solid effort from rookie first-overall pick Leonard Fournette, who scored 26 points. Wide receiver Adam Thielen (18.7) and tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins (15.6) turned in solid performances as well. For the Jerks, running back DeMarco Murray scored 21.1 points in the loss. Quarterback Alex Smith finished with 18.05, wide receiver Brandin Cooks added 15.3 and running back Lamar Miller notched 14.1. In Week 7, the Monsters will look to add another victory when they face Turkey Jerky. Jamaica will try to take down the Wookiees. The Houston Texans defense exploded for 38 points for Egypt. Can’t bury the Pharaohs Egypt Pharaohs 160.63, Vietnam Velociraptors 154.22 — After losing 3 of their first 4, the Pharaohs knocked off Vietnam in Week 6 to win their second straight game and pull even at 3-3 on the season. The Houston Texans defense scored 38 points in the tight victory. Wide receivers Golden Tate (22.6), Michael Crabtree (17.2) and Emmanuel Sanders (17.2) had strong performances in the win. Running back Jay Ajayi notched 18.2. Vietnam received a whopping 75 points from its starting backfield in Melvin Gordon (41) and Mark Ingram (34). Wide receiver Jarvis Landry added 20.2 and DeSean Jackson finished with 12.8. Egypt will try to make it three in a row when they face the Renegades in Week 7. Vietnam will try to bust their three-game losing streak when they face the Ewoks. Running back Chris Thompson had a big day for Turkey with 21 points. Jerky too Chewy for the Wookiees Turkey Jerky 137.17, Wake Island Wookiees 128.28 — The Turkey Jerky escaped with a narrow victory over the winless Wookiees led by 36.2 points from the Baltimore Ravens defense. Quarterback Tom Brady added 18.67, wide receiver Davante Adams tallied 16.4 and running back Chris Thompson finished with 21. The Wookiees got a balanced effort from their lineup with all but two of their players scoring in double figures. Tight end Cameron Brate led the way with 19.6 and quarterback Blake Bortles added 18.08. Wide receivers Kelvin Benjamin (18.9), Ted Ginn (17.2) and Eric Decker (15.8) also contributed in the loss. The Jerky will look to continue the momentum next week against Greenland while the Wookiees try to break the win column against Jamaica in what could have ramifications on the first overall pick of the 2018 MFFL Draft.
