Blitz acquire Hopkins, Draft Pick for McCaffrey

The Bangkok Blitz acquired wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and a 2018 first-round draft pick from the Ukraine Grainers for running back Christian McCaffrey.

Seeking an upgrade at wide receiver, the Bangkok Blitz acquired wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins from the Ukraine Grainers. The Blitz also have acquired Ukraine’s first-round pick in the 2018 MFFL Draft.

In exchange, the Grainers have received rookie running back Christian McCaffrey, who was selected second overall in the 2017 MFFL Draft. The Grainers were seeking young prospects, having recently dangled wide receiver Phillip Dorsett on the trade block for a draft pick. Instead, they picked up a promising young back.

As part of the deal, the Grainers have agreed to absorb $1 million in dead money of Hopkins’ $8.25 million contract.
